So i saw the Bourne series and this is one of those things that came up. "Look at us. Look at what they make you give," says Jason at the end of the series and that's one of the themes of the movie. How we go about choosing the things and how Jason is looking back at his life and wondering. Well not even wondering, knowing that it wasn't worth it. When you look at yourselves and the things you spend time on what do you see? Is it worth it? Are you becoming more like the man (or woman for the ladies) you want to be and is that more Christ-like? Good song that sums up the series and the emotions behind it.

parables
So yesterday Bern was talking about some old favourites in terms of parables and every time he's about to speak about something I feel like it'll be interesting. It's interesting because he's about to talk about something I've heard a million times and read a million times and it'll be a chance for me to revisit and re-appreciate it. There is a good chance that what he says isn't totally new to me but God reminds me that it's not about Bern, it's about him and me.
The first parable is directed to the men. Men should identify with this and that is the seeking with lost people. The interesting thing for me is that the second parable talks about a woman and seeking a coin. What's the difference between seeking the sheep and seeking the coin. One of those factoids that occurs to me is that the 10 coins fills a set, it's similar to a necklace. There are some thoughts around that, like it's part of a dowry or it's her life savings or whatever, but suffice to say, it's part of a whole. The interesting thing now is to look at what is necessary to be done. We need to find individuals to bring them into the fold but it's not just a matter of bringing people to church or to the presence of God, it's the completing work of God that is finding the coin to complete the set. It's both the restoration into sonship and the completing work of sanctification that is being addressed here. Jesus is appealing to both men and woman and interestingly enough men do something overarching while women deal with the details and completing. I think everyone has to be both but Jesus does make that distinction for a reason. You can look into it yourself.
The lines from the song, Nothing But The Blood of Jesus, come to mind.
"What can wash away my sin,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood of Jesus"
This one verse sums both parables up. He deals with our sin and makes us whole. How wonderful :P

Breaking
Something that's really been on my mind today has been brokenness. Like remember how Tim today shared about how he had to reach rock bottom in his own life in order to take God seriously. Today, I've been wrestling with this in my own life. Refering back to the video of God's chisel and how it really hurts when He transforms. I guess the main thing is not asking God to break me but asking God to break others. Like it's one thing to ask God to break you but another thing to ask God to break others and I think a lot harder. Like there's some people in my life where things of this world are really big and are cherished and if I pray that God would break them, I'm afraid of their response when the things they love are taken away. But iunno...but I think the main thing I'm struggling with is helping people through it when God breaks them. Like again...it's one thing to ask God to break another but another thing to help them through it. Yea iunno...

I guess no title is in now. Lols =P. Anyways, i was talking to a friend of mine today, or well he was just venting out a bit of his frustration with some school people. But somewhere through this, i shared my view on grades and shtuffs, and i somehow got to the point of saying, "If you don't like my answer, don't take it". And he PM'd it haha, but it got me kinda thinking or well it's cus i was reading while talking and i was like dang. I find the same thing is with God, if you don't like His answer, don't take it. I was reading 2 Thes 2:10 and it said "They perish because they have refused to love the truth and so be saved." And i think that it really is a narrow path, it's God or the world and sometimes it's really difficult to go God's way. And for me, i find it difficult to focus on God sometimes, but i guess pray for me that i do focus on God in all that i do.
hello kids :D and Enoch? :D anywaysss for one of my projects for english and its about immortality or well the 'death of death". i was thinking.. what if one day scientist do find a way to achieve this. Wait according to the bible is this possible? but yeah even "if" they do discover a method. what is the christian view on this? just a curios person :D
D.Wu
i guess i'll follow in nathan's wonderful example and just write something. lol~ i find it funny when people feel like it has to be profound for them to write something when often times it's just good enough to write anything :P
anything that is personal. i really love checking in and seeing that you guys are actively posting without me. it's like you guys are the small group I've always wanted to be a part of. it's a real blessing for me. it's why, even though I have many other things i should be doing with my own peer group i really try to hang out with you guys too. sometimes when i'm there i realize you don't really need me but i like to be around anyway. it's like being a parent I think. Sometimes I feel like there are things that could be better with the study and stuff but then I realize that it would be fine if i didn't say anything.
I think life is slowing down a bit and it's kinda nice for me. it's not even a transition, i busted my shoulder so i'm out for at least another few days and I know people that can't sit still and I'm just not that way. I love rest. :P
i don't know if i've ever told you guys this. some people wonder how I know what it is that God wants me to do. The answer now is that I know what the Spirit is doing so it's easy. In my early days it was simply this: Since I'm really lazy, if there is any more work that i feel i want to do it must be God. Since I never look for extra work and i wouldn't subject myself to more work i should just do it assuming it's God. I'm sure my system doesn't work for everyone but something like it might work. Like, I'm naturally really eager to do stuff so if I ever want to quit something it must be God? LOL~
cheers, y'all~

?
Well, it's kind of late. Well, for me at least. I consider 12:43AM pretty late : P Well, I was just staying up because of homework. Iunno, I feel bad because I've been not catching up with homework. I could say excuses like I'm too busy but iunno, it's hard I find to do every single piece of homework that I have. I guess today was an interesting day. sorry, random post...
Okay, so what's been going on with me
I unno, I might as well post why I haven't been at SComAC and like what's been happening in the little while
So basically my parents used to go to UAC, but then the pastor left, so my dad didn't want to go, but someone recommended RH3C to him and he started going again. I think he really likes it as there's a lot of people he can bond with. My mom ended up following too. I think I heard them say once that they didn't feel like they fit in either, I unno. But for some reason now they're showing a stronger opinion on what church I should go to. So for the time being, I have been at RC3H and UAC.
My view is kinda all over the place. Because at first, and still now to be honest, I don't want to move away, but then again, this may be something God wants. A hymn called "It Is Well With My Soul", I unno, I find that I shouldn't worry too much. I was talking to some of my fellowship group leaders at school and they simply said that real churches have the same mindset : God. So even if I'm a church that I don't like, God's still there and I'm not supposed to be there for friends, I'm supposed to be there for God! Like I make friends on the way, but even if I'm at a different church, it shouldn't stop me from worshiping God!
So that's what's been going on, for prayer requests, let me just move away the fact that I'm at a different church, but let me realize that nothing should change.
So yeah, you guys have any prayer requests? :D
